第14話 - 電話で話したいから番号を教えて欲しいと言ってきた詐欺師の女

電話で話しただけでは安心してはいけないオンラインでの出会い

さて、今回のメールでは詐欺師の女Виктория Рокина-ビクトリヤ・ロキナ(仮名)から驚くべき提案がありました。それは電話で話したいから電話番号を教えて欲しいということです。

そして僕はこの国際ロマンス詐欺を働く女にプリペイド携帯の番号を知らせました。すると数日後に着信があり、僕らは電話で話しました。しかし相手の電話番号は非通知で、折り返すことはできません。さらにВиктория Рокинаから伝えられた彼女の電話番号にかけても、ロシア語で「この電話番号は使われていません」とアナウンスされるばかり。

もちろん僕は「この電話番号は間違いではないか？」と尋ねましたが、彼女は日本からかけているから繋がらない、そしてなぜ繋がらないかは分からない、というようなことを返してきました。ですが僕はロシア国内に電話をかけることには慣れていたため、当然ロシアの国際番号を付けていましたし、そもそも彼女が知らせてきた電話番号は、ロシアの普通の携帯電話番号よりも一桁少ない数字でした。つまり国際番号を付けようが付けまいが、絶対に繋がるはずがないのです。

恐らくこの女は国際電話を使える公衆電話からかけてきていました。日本でも公衆電話からの着信は基本的には番号が表示されることはないと思うのですが、それはロシアでも同じです。協力者であるガブリエルとアルチョムに頼んで、ロシアの公衆電話から僕のプレイペイド携帯にかけてもらったところ、やはり非通知となりました。

向こうから電話をしたいと言ってくることは、詐欺師からすると「隠していることは何もない」的なアピールになります。そのため向こうから電話番号を聞いてくることも多いわけですが、詐欺師が番号を通知して電話をかけてくるケースは稀です。時々番号を通知してきたとしても、それはプリペイドの使い捨て携帯である可能性が高く、そこから相手を追跡することはほぼ不可能だと言えます。

ですので電話で話したから安心するのではなく、相手の電話番号がいつでも返信できる有効な番号であるかという点と、電話番号を検索して詐欺師の番号としてネット上に掲載されていないかをしっかりと調べるべきです。そうすれば簡単に詐欺師に騙されることはなくなると思いますが、でも情が湧いているとそれもなかなか難しいのかもしれません。
